An Incredible tale from Baja

Is this true? A disturbing bit of news from Ensenada, B.C. Mexico appears in the June 5, 2003 issue of the Gringo Gazette. Nancy Conroy, the editor of this weekly Baja newspaper, makes accusations appearing in her page 2 editorial which, if true, are worrisome for the citizens of Ensenada.

“… It appears quite unlikely that Mr. John Rinne actually possesses an enormous personal net worth, as he claims. His activities in Ensenada may be harming both the American and the Mexican communities, and tarnishing the reputation of honest Americans living in Baja. His position as President of the Baja Bachelor’s Club is an embarrassing situation. You can be sure that the Mexicans are not going to appreciate the idea of an American man coming to this city, claiming to be a billionaire philanthropist, and collecting personal data about hundereds of Mexican women. Also, this community must carefully scrutinize Mr. Rinne’s background before permitting him to become involved with local orphanages. …”

Un cuento increíble de Baja.
¿Es este verdad? Un pedacito que disturba de las noticias de Ensenada, B.C. México aparece en de junio el 5, aplicación 2003 la “Gringo Gazette.” Nancy Conroy, el redactor de este periódico semanal de Baja, hace las acusaciones que aparecen en su editorial de la página 2 que, si son verdades, sean preocupados para los ciudadanos de Ensenada. “… Aparece absolutamente inverosímil que Sr. John Rinne posee realmente un valor neto personal enorme, como él demanda. Sus actividades en Ensenada pueden dañar las comunidades americanas y mexicanas, y deslustrar la reputación de los americanos honestos que viven en Baja. Su posición como presidente del club de “Baja Bachelor’s” es una situación confundida. Usted puede ser seguro que el mexicano no va a apreciar la idea de un hombre americano que viene a esta ciudad, demandando ser un filántropo del mil millionario, y recogiendo datos personales sobre los cientos de mujeres mexicanas.
